Welcome to the new Family Vet Centre Boarding.
With this new purpose-built facility, we are able to offer you and your pets the very best in holiday accommodation.
Air conditioning for the summer months and floor heating for the colder months mean the animals are kept in a comfortable and safe environment during their stay. You can be assured your animals will receive the attention and care they deserve as your special friends.
During design and building, special attention has been paid to the quality of materials and systems to allow an excellence rarely found in a boarding kennels and cattery.
Family Vet Centre is unique in being positioned within the City of Wodonga. It is easily accessed on Thomas Mitchell Drive from Wodonga and Albury via the freeway.
The Boarding centre is built behind the new Family Vet Centre veterinary hospital. You can be assured of the wellness of your pet with a veterinary team being across the car park if needed.
Within the veterinary hospital is a Grooming Parlour as well. If you pet is due for, or would benefit from a groom during their stay with us, that can be easily arranged for you.
Vaccinations
To protect your pets, we require all animals to be fully vaccinated for entrance to the Kennels and Cattery. This means a current C5 vaccination for dogs and F3 for cats. This means they have been vaccinated at least 10 days BEFORE entering the facility. If your pet's vaccinations are close to due eg in the next 2 months, we recommend they have their booster brought forward to be assured of the best immunity level. Evidence of current vaccinations needs to be presented with the animals for entry to boarding.
Extra to this is the need for all animals to have a current worming and flea control in place.

Drop Off and Collection:
The hours for drop-off and collection are:
8 am to 11 am and
4 pm to 6 pm seven days a week.
However, drop offs and collections are not done on Public Holidays.
Kennels:
The dog enclosures are built with comfort and safety in mind.
There are 34 enclosures from small and medium sized dogs and a further 32 for large dogs. All these are enclosed in the air conditioned and floor heated building. A selection of these cages have adjoining gates so they can be opened for a number of “family dogs” to be able to live together in their family group.
There are three large external exercise areas for your pets to run and frolic for exercise and to enjoy the outside.

Cattery:
A physically separate area for the cats has been built – they are well away from dogs that may upset them. This area has its own air conditioning and heating system.
Louvre windows have been installed to allow fresh air to circulate when it is not too hot or cold.
The cat cages are spacious, safe and allow the less outgoing of cats to have their privacy in special areas. Litter trays can be placed away from view by other cats.
As with the dogs, there are cages that allow a family of cats to live and sleep together as they would at your home.
We know some cats are nervous about their new facilities and don't settle well. This is why the Veterinary Hospital being next door is such a great idea. Feline Pheromone Therapy is avaialbe to settle these cats if they require.
Food:
Family Vet Centre Boarding is proud to use Advance Super Premium foods for the pets staying with us. Of course, if you pet has their own diet for personal or medical reasons, that will be catered for.
Day Care:
Doggy and Catty Day Care can be catered for on a needs basis. This is available, not just for those animals that don’t like being alone at home, but also for those that suffer from anxiety problems such as Separation Anxiety and Storm Phobias, even when fireworks are expected. You can be assured your pet is safe and secure from these terrors.
